As phone GPS for golf is getting pretty good, those with NFC tags have a leg up. that said, this app struggles in one major way. when using tags, you can't leave your phone in your pocket or you'll get accidental touches which ruin your tracking and you have to stop every hole to correct it. this primarily happens in hot days. it doesn't matter if you have the setting on your phone to avoid accidental touches. I've had to completely stop using the tags because I can't avoid this issue.

This app used to be THE best golf app available. The most recent updates have destroyed this app. My golf club tags have been intermittent and improperly recording the club. The phone lock works for a couple of holes, then I find that it's changed to some other settings page that then becomes a huge distraction to my game. I used to be able to tap and go and simply look at my statistics at the end of the round, but not any more. I believe they can't keep up with phone software updates.

After Trying Many Apps, I think this is just the one to go. When playing groups, with my buddies/fam, we do tournament play, and it shows us on a leaderboard, like live TV! its freaken awesome for free. I ended paying the 29.99 a year, since I like keeping track of my club distances, and also to use the watch feature. I want it, to be able to allow downloadable course, where Cell Service is terrible. But GPS still works. I tried SwingU, just expensive at 100 and too many Ads for free. Not ez.
