It sucks to say, because the game IS fun, but under current management, it's only fun enough to get you interested, then comes the non-stop predatory monetization. Free to play players need not apply, if you're not whaling, you're not playing. It's actually worse than when Nuverse owned/published them, and that's insane to me. It's in a bad state right now, and I wouldn't bother with it.

Had to drastically lower my review, sadly. The game tries to nickle and dime you at every turn and I'd mostly be OK with that if money could only be used for cosmetic purposes and not gameplay (new cards) - but it can. I can't imagine being a new, Free-To-Play player in this game. So, new players, be warned. Vets - be prepared to play A LOT in order to maximize resources or be prepared to open the wallet. Unfortunate, because the core gameplay of the game is fantastic.

Cash Grab Era - the game started okay, it's always been a little pay-to-win. but now it's $10 a month just to keep up in 20 bucks a month if you too stay competitive. I wouldn't invest any money in it now because the game is on the way out anyway. But if you spend enough the actual gameplay is... fine. Sometimes glitchy, often incredibly frustrating, and with constant changes to the cards you already paid for.
