I had my doubts about this game just as any rational person would. However, after reading some of the reviews and comments regarding the game, I gave it a try. To my surprise, after booting it up there wasn’t a single ad or even a long and pointless introduction to the game, it just throws u into the action and lets u start playing! There’s voice dialogues as well which isn’t half bad and the visuals are definitely what is promoted on social media. It is however a gacha game and with any gacha game, be warned it can be very predatory if you fomo and don’t keep track of your spending. All in all though, it’s a fun experience and after about 2 hours of playing I still haven’t seen a single 3rd party advertisement, which is a breath of fresh air for a free mobile game.

I downloaded this after being inundated with all those fake ads baiting you with a simple running shooter then switching with some pay-to-win base builder game requiring combat with other players. This game is even more simple than imagined, gameplay-wise. The various game mechanics take a while to learn (there’s a different currency for literally every part of the game), but the gameplay is just a side-to-side shoot em up. You can realistically pass many of the levels without even touching the screen, so long as you have the “auto” on. Even some of the obstacles you’re meant to dodge may as well not be there because they do nothing if you run into them. Seems like the game was rushed into being. However, this isn’t why I rate the game so low, THAT reason is because it crashes CONSTANTLY, and doesn’t reimburse any of your spent currency, despite losing the opportunity to compete (looking at you, arena, corridor, raids). This game has far too much going on in the background with graphics and animations that eat up processing power and cause crashes. If they toned it down, it’d be a decent enough time killer.

I’ve been playing for almost 2 months and I’ve been having a blast. Always stuff to do. The game still crashes occasionally but it seems to be getting more stable over time with each update (It was a nightmare in the beginning). I only have 2 gripes. The first being, gold coins have no use anymore. Once you reach lvl 25 of the armory box upgrade it no longer has a purpose. It would be nice if you could exchange gold coins for items or perks or something like that. Or at least increase the max level cap for the armory box once in a while. Secondly, in the most recent update it seems the progression system has changed. You used to be able to increase the Valkyrie level higher than your DawnBringer. But that’s no longer the case, now Valkyries can’t exceed the DB’s current level. That’s a bad change imo because it severely slows progression. It takes a long time for the DB to level up as it is. The grind becomes very tedious now, and any progress made up to this point no longer matters, especially if you’ve spent money on the game. Either change it back to the original system, or add new ways for the DB to level up so progression can feel meaningful again. I truly love this game, please don’t ruin it. However, I do appreciate the small quality of life changes that I have seen lately. Keep up the good work!
