feature_requestsdesignserviceSuper cool app, thank you Mr. Dorsey. These features would be great to have: A sort of “location” feature that you have the option to turn on and only pops up in private chats, then it would show the other user the heading you are facing with a compass, and the distance you are away from the other user, relative to the amount of feet you are from them. Could make the app seem less private though, but maybe by default it can be off. A general settings page to change font, font size, color, and other features. Changing the blue blinking typing indicator to green would look a bit nicer and consistent on the app. This one would be SUPER cool, but I have no clue if this is possible. The ability to send “images”, but instead, you would select an image (just by a + button then select from your camera roll) and it would convert the image into ASCII text that you could then send a sort of “pixelated” version of that image without needing to store all that color data and just send text which is much better for BLE. Having the option to save the non ASCII version of the image to your camera roll would be nice too.

performance_and_bugsfeature_requestsnotificationsserviceBrilliant little app. I can think of all sorts of situations in which this would be useful, but at least right now the notifications on iOS are hit and miss. Also, I'm wondering how this would handle spam if it becomes ubiquitous and shady people can just rename themselves again and again to pester users, but that's a long way in the future. I'm excited to see where this app goes... Well done, Jack!

feature_requestsserviceThis is a perfect solution for chatting while onboard a plane without wifi or while off the grid! It’s privacy minded so group chat in a particular area during major civic events is a real viable possibility too. The only issue currently that is blocking adoption for me is that the text entry field is tagged to prevent keyboards from remembering and learning from your text, it seems, so autocorrect is effectively disabled. That’s appropriate for the purpose of this app but makes it really hard to use for everyday chat - it would be great if this was a setting where you could opt in to allowing your phone to treat the text box as one intended for natural language input with normal autocorrect and editing support etc.
