Know what’s happening at home from wherever you are with Ring Video Doorbells, Security Cameras and Alarm systems, and Smart Lights. Ring Doorbells and Cameras can send you instant alerts when someone’s at your door or motion is detected. Keep an eye on what matters with live HD video and greet visitors with Two-Way Talk. With a Ring Home Plan subscription (or free trial), you can review, save, and share Ring videos.
Ring Smart Lights let you control and schedule lighting easily. Some models can even notify you about motion nearby, and trigger other compatible Ring devices to record.
Ring Alarm systems let you monitor entrances and indoor spaces, and detect certain safety hazards. Enroll in Ring Alarm Professional Monitoring* (compatible Ring Home Plan subscription required) to request dispatch of emergency responders when your Ring Alarm is triggered.
Whether you’re halfway around the world or just out shopping , with Ring, you’re always home.
*Professional Monitoring is an add-on plan that first requires a compatible Ring subscription. Both sold separately. Service available within the U.S. (all 50 states, but not U.S. territories) and in Canada (excluding Quebec). Ring does not own its monitoring center. Smoke and carbon monoxide monitoring is not available for business or commercially zoned addresses. See Ring Alarm licenses at: ring.com/licenses. Additional fees may be required for permits, false alarms, or Alarm Verified Guard Response, depending on your local jurisdiction.

designperformance_and_bugsThe software designers apparently gave no consideration to pressing the same location on the phone when the phone doesn't respond, because when it finally does respond, the same location on the next screen may change something you didn't want changed. This wastes time and is bad design, and I think the newer version is worse than the older one in other ways, too. Also, Ring in general has problems picking motion up and misses a lot of important footage, including break-ins.

notificationsperformance_and_bugsserviceApp worked great till a couple months ago. Now notifications are pointless if they even come through timely. The doorbell ring no longer works as a notification on the phone, only through the doorbell itself, there is no longer a video preview, the app does not open when you click on the notification, and on the rare occasion that it does open it brings you to a whole new live view rather than the footage it notified you about. The app has become pointless for notifications.

notificationsperformance_and_bugsNo Notifications? I've had this app for years and it's notified me of every motion on my phone. A week or so ago, it started asking if I was getting correct or incorrect motion alerts, to which I didn't respond. The last few days, it's just stopped notifying me of anything. I've checked my notifications settings numerous times - everything is turned on. I've restarted my phone a few times. I use a Galaxy S23. Please fix this.
