During a trip it was recommended for me to use the Bolt app as it was cheaper than Grab. I not only found this to be true, but also found the drivers on Bolt to be honest if they could not pick us up due to no space for my friend’s wheelchair. Or if they needed a little time to come pick us up. They were very helpful and assisted us with the folding and lifting of my friend’s wheelchair. And even careful with it, which was very appreciated. I hope Bolt will maintain this level of service. Especially as the coordinator who assisted us used her Grab account to take us back to our hotel after an event. And the Grab driver tried to scam us out of more money after he had been paid not only for the ride by the coordinator. But extra money by a friend’s relatives when he was inappropriately freaking out over my friend’s wheelchair. Thank you to all the Bolt drivers for making our transportation during our trip in Thailand smooth and for assisting us.

This is my first tome to used this, it’s great cheeper than other app. But one thing in Thailand still can not use credit cards.(4th January 2021) if I can use credit I will choose Bolt.

I’m genuinely disappointed and frustrated with how Bolt treats its customers — especially those who go out of their way to be polite and generous.I gave a driver a cash tip, said thank you, and kept everything respectful throughout the ride. And how did they return that? By giving me a low rating. No explanation, no incident, just an unjustified slap in the face. It’s insulting, and honestly, it makes me question why I ever used this app in the first place.Bolt’s rating system is broken. There’s zero transparency, no chance for passengers to see who rated them or why, and no real recourse for unfair ratings. Meanwhile, drivers can dish out low stars with no accountability — even after accepting cash tips. What’s the point of being kind if your effort just gets spit on?This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with Bolt either. Support is basically nonexistent, drivers cancel rides randomly, some even ask for more money outside the app. But this — tipping someone and still getting slapped with a bad rating — was the final straw.I have deleted the app. From now on, I’ll be using Grab instead.At least they know how to treat their customers with basic respect.Bolt may be cheap, but in the end, it cost me more in frustration, dignity, and trust than any small discount was worth.If you care about fairness and respect, don’t waste your time here.
